The building

“CIK” is Knivsta’s largest construction project to date, costing a total of around 392 million Swedish kroner.

The 9,000 m2 of the building provides facilities for all ages and provides the framework for Knivsta’s culture and sports facilities, including rooms for art, theatre, martial arts hall, ice skating hall, ball game halls, restaurants, office and conference facilities etc.

It has been important for Knivsta to build an energy-friendly building with a focus on the environment. The materials have also been selected based on this focus.

Choice of floor solution

At CIK, M2 Ytskikt has mounted Solid Line in smoked oak mixed with Solid Line Ash, Select.

CIK is a house built in the spirit of the environment with a focus on good raw materials, so it is only justified that HØRNING supplied solid wood floors for the project. In addition, it is a project with heavy traffic and therefore requires a durable floor, which is why the natural choice was Solid Line.
