The building

In Amager by Kastrup Harbor, you will find FERRING’s headquarters designed by Foster + Partners in 2022. A new domicile – an 18-meter high building situated on an 8-meter high concrete plinth overlooking Malmö, where FERRING was founded in the 1950s. FERRING Pharmaceutical’s new building sits like a ship heading towards the blue waves of Øresund and serves as a workplace for 770 employees.

Choice of floor solution

FERRING wanted a unique high-quality ship floor that also reflected Copenhagen’s naval history. With a connection to “naval oak trees” used for warships in 1807, the choice was Hørning oak parquet in long blocks with applied black rubber coating.
