At Hørning, we take great pride in being more than a flooring manufacturer. We're also a woodworking workshop, dedicated to precision, flexibility, and bespoke solutions. Our skilled team takes on unique projects that stretch far beyond traditional flooring - from stair nosings to skirting boards, from trims to intricate solid wood profiles.

From Blocks to Beautiful Details

One example is a set of stair nosings in smoked oak, currently being crafted for a project in Norway. The process is handled by Claus, our experienced workshop foreman, who works with care and consistency to achieve the exact detailing required. These are not mass-produced parts, but tailor-made components designed to meet architectural visions down to the millimetre.

"There are many exciting projects coming through," says Claus. "A job like this – cutting block material with a circular saw, finishing it by hand – ends up as a finely crafted result that integrates seamlessly with our Solid Line^® flooring. That’s the rewarding part."
