Hørning oil and maintenance products
Floor oil 310 natur and 330 white with maintenance oils to match, are made by natural oils and strengthening natural wax, which dries quickly, leaving a wear-resistant, matt and hard surface.
Hørning Floor Care 380 is an environmentally friendly cleaning product added a small amount of natural wax - together with cleaning it leaves a matt and hard surface. Compared with soab products, it gives a less greasy surface which doesn't require as vigorously a cleaning before treating the floor with maintenance oil. (The product is already used at the new Opera house in Copenhagen)
The oil protects the wood against fluids and dirt penetrating the surface, thereby improving the wood's wear resistance. Floor oil, nature emphasises and preserves the natural colour of the wood. White pigmented wooden floor oil should be used only on light woods and on lye-treated wooden floors in order to preserve the whitish appearance.
The time intervals between re-treatment of oil-treated floors will depend on the usage intensity but will be significantly shorter than for varnishing. However, it is easy to re-treat a floor which has been treated with Floor oil, nature and it is possible to repair individual spots without risk of the repaired spots standing out from the rest of the floor.
Due to normal wear and care/spot-repair the white oil may appear with an uneven spreading of the white pigment of the surface - consequently the floor may seem blotched.
